Note : The Mainland and Hong Kong submitted a joint communication regarding the provisions of the Supplement to CEPA to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) on 21 January 2005. The English translation of the Supplement to CEPA circulated to other WTO members is posted on this webpage. The Supplement to CEPA was signed in Chinese language, and only the Chinese version is authentic.

Annex 1:

The Second Batch of Hong Kong Origin Products for Implementation of Zero Import Tariff by the Mainland

  • Goods Proposed to be Produced

Note: Hong Kong and the Mainland have completed the verification and confirmation procedures in respect of 25 items of the "Goods Proposed to be Produced". These goods can now enjoy zero tariff preference under CEPA upon presentation of the certificates of origin issued by the Hong Kong issuing authorities.For more details, please refer to the Circulars on "Implementation of Zero Import Tariff for Hong Kong Origin Products by the Mainland: Goods Proposed to be Produced" dated 30 December 2004 and 1 April 2005

 
Annex 2: Schedule on Rules of Origin of the Second Batch of Hong Kong Goods Subject to Tariff Preference for Trade in Goods
(Note : The above schedule is set out in Mainland 2004 tariff codes. In submitting CO(CEPA) applications, traders are required to use the Mainland tariff codes prevailing in that year. The products listed in the above schedule, which were classified in 713 Mainland 2004 tariff codes, have been re-grouped and re-classified into 736 Mainland 2006 tariff codes.The applicable tariff codes and the correspond origin criteria are set out in the table "CEPA Tariff Preference - Mainland 2006 Tariff Codes, Product Description and Origin Criteria") (pdf format)
